You may wanna add the "skip" counter, unless it is not possible.
Actually you could add it or use it as factor to lower an avatar's rating.
If someone gets skipped all the time - lower the rating.

Or at least it could provide interesting data.

I will be shutting the website down temporarily until the issue with people abusing the votes is fixed. Apparently some people just have nothing better to do than to submit HTTP PUT requests with the character IDs of a vote winner/loser.

I was planning to remove that tooltip for some time now. Funny, but I do exactly the same thing when I am not sure who to vote for, and always vote for the avatar with higher wins count. So perhaps in the next update I'll get rid of it. Meanwhile if you spot any bugs or vulnerabilities please do mention them.

I am surprised that it's still running 3 days later, no crashes, no cheating or hacking attempts.

Anyway, I will be pushing an update tonight that fixes minor UI glitches and I will also be removing the tooltip with Wins/Losses when you mouse over character's name. This is to remove the voting bias.

Do you have any other quick suggestions while I am at it?

Kairavi has asked me to remove her character from the database awhile back. (Who knows why). But I knew this would happen, someone would add her again to the site.

Sorry guys I've been busy with some real life stuff and I was not able to fix the errors that caused the crash who knows when. I just found out why I was hitting the "Exceeded disk quota". My log file was accidentally printing all 2500 characters into a text file on each request.

After bringing the server back for 5 minutes, the brand new log file was already at 11 megabytes. It's a lot of megabytes for a website that is less than 1 mb in total.

I am currently working on the improvements I have mentioned earlier. In addition I have considered the gender-separated voting and think that's a good idea. For that I am going to need a few trusted volunteers who can set a gender to existing characters.

For future character adds I am considering whether there should be an approval process signed off by me once a day, or have a report button next to character's name, in the case when opposite gender is encountered .

UPDATE

Many bugs have been fixed, added gender support, as someone has suggested I have added sorting by winning percentage for the top 14 and top 100 but first they are sorted by number of wins, this prevents new players with 100% winning percentage to be in top ranks.

Added previous matches on character summary page that shows a list of 2 avatars per row, winner of the vote highlighted in green, loser of the vote highlighted in red. It's still in basic shape, but good enough for now.

Added notifications for report button, report threshold has been lowered from 10 to 3.

Sometime this week, once everything is ready I will push the update live.
